Dr. Prajwal Das heads the team of Medical Practioners and Allied Health Specialists at Lake Orr Family Practice.
Dr Prajwal Das is an experienced GP from UK Treating and knowing patients and their families is at the heart of General Practice. He has added cosmetic injecting, and skin surgery to his training.
Dr Das had worked extensively in Trauma and Orthopaedics for 4 years gaining musculoskeletal experience in Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust in UK, and became member of Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow, He had further worked as Senior Doctor in Accident and Emergency in ten different hospital busy A&E departments all over England with his leadership and reputations before moving to Australia .He likes his interest in minor surgery and musculoskeletal besides being all rounder specialist GP . He was trained in Northern Deanery in UK/ Newcastle Upon Tyne. He had been practicing in Gold Coast Area since April 2016. He had worked in Opthalmology, Old age psychiatry, Paediatrics, Diabetes units as part of of his UK GP training.

Following graduation from Bristol university in England Dr Nikki completed her internship in southern England and gained skills in medicine, surgery, paediatrics, diabetes and palliative care. She then moved to Brisbane to work in emergency medicine and general practice. Following on from this she returned to the UK to complete her general practice fellowship and gained further skills in obstetrics, womens health and elderly care. Having recently completed her fellowship Nikki had always wanted to return to work in Queensland enjoying the outdoors lifestyle and friendly laid back Aussie culture and so is joining us at Lake Orr Family Practice this February as a GP here.
Nikki describes herself as a personable, friendly GP who enjoys the job because of the variety of people she gets to meet every day and the stories they have with them. She likes to practice “whole person” medicine and in particular enjoys children and women’s health. She is an advocate of promoting healthy lifestyle and fitness as a way of improving well being both physical and mental and on her days off enjoys running, swimming, hiking, camping and photography
Dr Shanti Thumati

Dr Shanti has trained at Newcastle upon Tyne in UK as a GP and have been practising for the past 5 years. She enjoys being a GP and take pride in her work.
She has a special interest in women’s health ,allergy and dermatology.
Fully trained to fit coils and implants for contraception and can also remove small skin lesions and give joint injections.
Dr Shanit is a full time mum to two boisterous boys so she can fully appreciate the stresses of parenting.
In her spare time she enjoys running, cooking and glass painting.
